Student Parking
All student parking requires a permit. Students must show proof of insurance, a valid vehicle registration, and a valid driver's license to obtain a permit. Violators may be subject to a fine. Please be aware that students are permitted to park in the student lot only. Availability is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parking Permit Process
- Seniors: Must submit their parking permit contract by September 11, 2025. Permits will be issued as contracts are received.
- Juniors: Can submit a contract at any time, but permits may not be issued until after September 11. Permits are limited.
- All seniors and juniors have until September 19, 2025, to register their cars and receive parking permits.
- If space remains available, sophomores will be issued permits on a space-available basis after the senior and junior deadlines have passed.
- Parking enforcement begins on September 22, 2025. Vehicles without a valid permit will be ticketed.
Student Parking Process and Rules
- To get a permit, students must provide a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of auto insurance.
- Parking permits are free and must be displayed in the vehicle's rear-view mirror at all times.
- Permits cannot be sold or transferred to another student.
- The designated student parking area is the student parking lot, off Hoh Street.
- Students must obey all signs and markings, and drive safely on campus (max. speed of 5 mph).
- Do not sit in cars or loiter in the parking lot, and do not access your vehicle during class time.
- River Ridge High School is not responsible for any damage, theft, or vandalism to vehicles.
Parking Violations Process
- First Offense: Verbal or written warning.
- Second Offense: A $10 fine and guardian notification.
- Third Offense: A $35 fine and school discipline.
- Fourth Offense: A $50 boot removal fee and school discipline, including revocation of the parking permit.
- Fifth Offense: The vehicle will be towed at the owner's expense, and all parking privileges will be lost.
