Dance Contract & Guest Pass

River Ridge High School encourages attendance at the dance. Some students choose to make the dance an all-day event, with a day-long schedule that includes time for pictures, dinner, and the dance. Some students also like to keep hanging out with their friends after the dance and choose to plan a party afterward. Students are not expected to participate in these additional activities, and the school does not connect with or promote them.

Go with a group of friends! You can even go by yourself and meet people at the dance.  Many students go without dates and still have a great time.

Many students recommend getting an outfit that meets the dress recommendations and a boutonnière/corsage/bouquet. These items aren't required or expected at the dance, but many students choose to buy them.

Ways to reduce spending include:

• Buy your ticket ahead of time (they are more expensive at the door)
• Drive yourself or have your parents drive you
• Avoid overpriced restaurants; dinner will be fun no matter where you go
• Do your own hair, makeup, and nails
• Borrow or rent a dress
• Borrow shoes
• Parents take photos to avoid professional costs
